CHAPTER SIX: Conclussion Short vs long vowels sounds (English and Spanish)

There are a lot of differences between vowel sounds in English and in Spanish. First, in Spanish we only have five vowel sounds (a, e, i, o and u), but in English we find five long vowel sounds and eight short vowels. therefore the native spanish learnes has problems to recognice and differenciate this sounds.

  1. Unfortunatelly, you need to explain more about differences between English and Spanish vowel sounds.First of all, you say that Spanish language has 5 vowels (a,e,i,o,u), that's true. But, the same vowels are used in English because are sounds in which there is no obstruction to the flow of air as it passes from the larynx to the lips.It means that in Spanish each vowel has just only one sound, there isn't variation of sound while in English each vowel has variation, except the vowel (o).
